Meet Chloe

Horror and I go way back. From my dad showing me Universal Monster and Hammer Horror movies as a kid, to my mom suggesting that I read Pet Sematary one summer day, to bonding with college friends over Scream, to writing academic work about horror nerdiness in grad school, to now— a horror blogger. In non-pixelated life, you can catch me biking, listening to podcasts, slingin’ books at my job as a librarian, and exploring cemeteries.

What’s my favorite type of horror? I tend to go towards the atmospheric and psychological scares. Haunted house and folk horror are my preferred subgenres, though during the pandemic, I got way into slashers. I have too many favorite movies to count, but some of the top picks are The Shining (1980), The Thing (1982), It Follows (2014), Candyman (1992), and Possession (1981). My favorite horror authors include Stephen Graham Jones, Mariana Enriquez, and Junji Ito.

This blog exists because I wanted all my horror content in one place. Below you will find links to all my socials, writing, podcast appearances, and more.

Please note: I’m currently not accepting unsolicited ARC’s due to time commitments.
